Before practicing law, Mark S. Guralnick worked as a college professor and as a news reporter. He has taught on the Humanities faculty of the Pennsylvania State University and on the Political Science faculty of Rutgers University. On an adjunct basis, he has taught business law courses at many colleges and universities, including Rutgers and Franklin and Marshall College. He has taught English Composition at Rowan University and Broward Community College. He has taught political science at Berkeley College, and a graduate course in administrative law in Rutgers Department of Public Administration.

Among the many courses given at Penn State and Rutgers, Mr. Guralnick has taught Media and Politics, Investigative News Reporting, Magazine Writing, Advertising, Media Ethics, Legislative Process, Judicial Process, Human Freedoms and the Constitution, Public Administration and Society, and Media Law.

As a news reporter, Mr. Guralnick has covered Presidential political campaigns, national politics, state and local politics, public and private education, and the sciences. He has worked as a beat reporter, a law reporter, a feature writer, and a columnist.
